Warehouse floor coating in Hutto, TX

Heritage Floor Coatings provides warehouse floor coating for businesses in Hutto and the greater Austin metro. Forklifts, pallet jacks and constant foot traffic wear bare concrete down fast, so we install an industrial-grade polyaspartic system that is tougher than warehouse epoxy flooring and cures quickly enough to limit downtime.

The short answer

A polyaspartic coating gives a warehouse a durable, slip-resistant, easy-to-clean floor that resists chemicals, stains and abrasion. It cures far faster than epoxy, so your operation is down for less time, and Heritage backs commercial floors with a 5-year warranty.

  • Made for equipmentHolds up to forklifts, pallet jacks and heavy machinery day after day.
  • Chemical resistantResists chemicals, stains and abrasion, which matters where materials are stored.
  • Slip-resistant optionsTextured finishes add grip in aisles, docks and areas that can get wet.
  • Less downtimeCures fast, so the floor goes back into service sooner than epoxy allows.

What a warehouse floor goes through

Warehouses are hard on concrete. Forklift wheels grind in grit, pallets get dragged, and loading areas take dirt and rain from the dock. Bare concrete breaks down into dust that settles on stock and equipment, and stains are hard to get out.

A coated floor gives you a sealed, seamless surface that is brighter, easier to sweep and scrub, and much more resistant to wear. It also makes the space look cared for when clients or inspectors walk through. And a brighter floor reflects more light, which helps in aisles between tall racking. Sealing the slab also cuts down on the fine concrete dust that bare floors shed onto stock, shelving and equipment, so there is less cleaning and less wear on machinery.

Why polyaspartic beats warehouse epoxy flooring

Epoxy is the old standard for warehouse floors, but it can take several days to cure and can chip, peel and crack under heavy equipment. Every extra day of curing is a day your aisles are closed.

Our system uses a polyurea base coat graded four times stronger than traditional epoxy, topped with a polyaspartic coat that resists chemicals and abrasion. It can also be customized for anti-microbial or anti-static requirements. Read more in our post on polyaspartic coatings for industrial flooring in Austin.

  • Slip-resistant textures available

  • Low maintenance, cleaned with soap and water

Planning the install around your operation

Every job starts with diamond grinding to open up the concrete so the coating bonds. We repair minor cracks and light spalling in prep, then apply the polyurea base coat, an optional flake broadcast and the polyaspartic topcoat.

Small storage rooms or a single area can often be finished in a day. A full warehouse is different, and we won't promise a timeline without seeing it. We'll walk the floor, talk about how your inventory moves, and plan the schedule with you, whether that means working in sections, after hours or over a weekend.

  • Free on-site assessment of the slab
  • Work planned in zones so part of the space stays open
  • Evening and weekend work can be discussed

Colors, zones and warranty

A lighter floor can make a warehouse feel brighter, and different colors can mark off storage, work and walkway areas. Ask about solid colors or flake blends on our color choices page. If you need aisle lines or safety markings, talk to us about it when we visit.

Commercial floors carry a 5-year warranty. Many installers offer one to three years. Because the coating is non-porous and seamless, upkeep is simple: sweep or dust-mop regularly, scrub with soap and water as needed, and wipe up spills when they happen.

Other spaces in your building

A warehouse rarely stands alone. Many have a vehicle bay, a maintenance shop or a break room attached, and the same polyaspartic system works in all of them. We can look at every area in one free visit and give you one plan for the whole building.

If you service vehicles on site, see our auto shop floor coating page. For fleet parking and loading bays, see commercial garage floor coating. Food storage and production areas have their own page on commercial kitchen flooring. You'll find every facility type on our commercial floor coating hub, or you can contact us to book a visit.

Questions

Warehouse flooring: straight answers

Will the coating hold up to forklifts?

Yes. Our system is industrial grade and built for forklifts, pallet jacks and heavy machinery. The polyurea base coat is graded four times stronger than traditional epoxy, and the topcoat resists abrasion, so the floor holds up to constant equipment traffic instead of wearing through in the aisles.

How long will my warehouse be shut down?

Less than with epoxy, which can take several days to cure. Smaller areas are often finished in a day. For a full warehouse we plan the schedule with you after seeing the space, often working in zones or outside business hours so you can keep shipping and receiving. Most installs let you walk on the floor soon after we finish and drive on it within 24 hours.

Can the floor be anti-static or anti-microbial?

The coating can be customized to meet anti-microbial or anti-static requirements. Tell us what your operation needs during the free assessment, whether that is stored electronics, sensitive inventory or a clean storage room, and we'll go over the options for your space before we quote the job.

What does a warehouse floor coating cost?

It depends on the square footage, the condition of the slab and the finish you choose, so we quote after a free on-site assessment. Our guide to the real cost of epoxy flooring explains what drives price. Call (737) 637-3732 to set up a visit.

Is warehouse epoxy flooring cheaper?

Epoxy can look cheaper upfront, but it takes longer to cure, which means more downtime, and it is more prone to chipping and peeling under heavy traffic. Once you count closure time and repairs, a polyaspartic floor with a 5-year warranty is usually the better value for a working warehouse.
